My journey into the world of therapy started with a desire to help people feel seen, supported, and understood. I’ve completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am currently working towards a Master’s in the same field at Leeds Beckett University, accredited by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Every day, I feel grateful for the chance to offer support to those who need it, and as a BACP-registered therapist, I bring both compassion and professionalism into each session.
In my work, I’ve had the privilege of engaging with people from all walks of life, each with their own stories and unique challenges. My volunteer role at Mind has allowed me to listen to, and support people as they navigate mental health journeys, while my work with the Leeds Domestic Violence Service gave me firsthand experience in helping people regain a sense of safety. At Psychiatry-UK, I worked with individuals with ADHD and autism, gaining valuable insights into neurodiversity and the unique ways we all experience the world. I’ve also supported people through homelessness, addiction, and disability in my roles with St George’s Crypt and the Wilberforce Trust.
I continuously seek to grow in my understanding of complex trauma through my membership in the Carolyn Spring Trauma Response Community, and I am committed to “doing no harm” by maintaining the most ethical, compassionate practices. My supervision groups and individual sessions allow me to stay grounded and reflective, helping me show up as a real, human support system for my clients. I believe therapy should be a safe, open space where every person feels empowered to explore their strengths, vulnerabilities, and everything in between.

Therapies Offered
Integrative Counselling is a flexible therapeutic approach that combines techniques from various counselling theories to suit the unique needs of each individual. Rather than adhering to a single method, integrative counselling draws from approaches like behavioural; psychodynamic, humanistic, and others, allowing the therapist to create a personalised experience. This approach respects the complexity of each person’s life, focusing on the whole self—mind, body, and emotions—to address issues holistically. Integrative counselling is effective for a wide range of mental health concerns, offering a compassionate, adaptable path to self-discovery, emotional healing, and personal growth.
CBT is a practical, evidence-based approach to mental health that focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour. By exploring the links between our thoughts, emotions, and actions, CBT empowers individuals to develop healthier perspectives and coping strategies. It’s particularly effective in treating conditions like anxiety, depression, and stress, helping individuals reframe negative thoughts and respond to challenging situations with greater resilience. CBT sessions are collaborative and oriented, making them accessible and adaptable to a wide range of personal challenges and mental health needs.
Psychodynamic therapy is a therapeutic approach aimed at understanding how past experiences, often from childhood, influence current behaviours, emotions, and relationships. Rooted in the principles of psychoanalysis, it focuses on revealing unconscious thoughts and feelings, helping individuals become aware of unresolved conflicts and deeper motivations that affect their daily lives. By exploring these hidden aspects, psychodynamic therapy encourages personal growth, improved self-awareness, and healthier coping mechanisms. It’s particularly helpful for addressing issues like anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Sessions foster a safe, supportive space for meaningful insights and lasting emotional change.
Person-Centred Therapy is a humanistic approach that emphasises the importance of self-discovery, personal growth, and the therapeutic relationship. Developed by Carl Rogers, this approach fosters a non-judgmental, empathetic, and supportive environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their thoughts and emotions. In this process, clients are encouraged to access their inner resources and strengths, promoting self-awareness and personal acceptance. The therapist acts as a compassionate guide rather than an authority, helping individuals find their own solutions to life’s challenges. Person-Centred Therapy is especially effective for building confidence, resilience, and emotional wellbeing.
Transactional Analysis (TA) is a psychological approach that explores how our communication and behaviours are shaped by internal “ego states”—the Parent, Adult, and Child. Developed by Eric Berne, TA helps individuals understand patterns in their interactions and identify unhelpful dynamics that might arise in relationships. By recognising these patterns, people can make conscious choices to improve their responses and communication, promoting healthier, more effective interactions. TA is particularly useful for personal growth, conflict resolution, and enhancing relationships by fostering self-awareness and emotional clarity. It’s widely used in both therapeutic and organisational settings for positive change.
Mindfulness is a practice rooted in ancient meditation traditions that involves focusing on the present moment with openness, curiosity, and without judgement. By intentionally observing thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations as they arise, mindfulness helps individuals cultivate awareness, reduce stress, and improve emotional resilience. This approach encourages a calm, grounded response to life’s challenges, fostering greater self-compassion and balance. Regular mindfulness practice can enhance mental clarity, improve concentration, and support overall well-being, making it an effective tool for managing anxiety, depression, and everyday stress.
